We're currently seeking a friendly, compassionate Registration Specialist to join our team and help make a meaningful difference in the lives of the patients and families we serve.
About the Role
In this role, you'll be the welcoming face and helpful voice of Wabash Valley Health Center. You'll assist patients with registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and other front office responsibilities while helping create a positive experience for every patient visit.
As an important member of our team, you'll play a key role in connecting patients to the care they need. Your professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail will help ensure patients feel cared for from their very first interaction with our organization.
What You'll Do

Greet patients and visitors with warmth, professionalism, and respect

Answer incoming calls and assist patients with scheduling and general inquiries

Register new and returning patients within the electronic health record system

Verify insurance information and obtain required registration documentation

Schedule appointments for medical, dental, and behavioral health services

Collect co-pays, nominal fees, and past due balances as appropriate

Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance

Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members

Support clinic operations while helping create a welcoming and positive patient experience

What We're Looking For

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required

Medical front office experience preferred

Familiarity with medical and/or dental terminology preferred

Experience working with electronic health records and scheduling systems is beneficial

Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills required
