Primary Care Physician (MD/DO):

About the Role
As a physician at WVHC, you will do more than provide medical care—you will be a trusted partner in your patients’ health journeys. You’ll deliver comprehensive primary care, support preventive health efforts, and help create a welcoming, patient-centered environment where individuals feel heard and valued.

What You’ll Do

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions

Conduct physical exams and coordinate necessary diagnostic testing

Educate patients on preventive care, treatment plans, and healthier lifestyles

Serve as a primary care physician and advocate, building meaningful, trusting relationships with patients

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, high-quality care

Support Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives focused on improving outcomes and access

Mentor and support clinical staff and medical students

Participate in on-call coverage in collaboration with partner physicians

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is not only clinically skilled, but who truly cares—someone who understands that listening, empathy, and trust are just as important as diagnosis and treatment.
Qualifications:

MD or DO degree from an accredited institution

Active Indiana medical license

Board Certified and participating in Maintenance of Certification (MOC)

Eligible for credentialing with affiliated hospitals

Current CPR certification
