Primary Care Physician (MD/DO):

STATUS: Full-Time

At Wabash Valley Health Center, we believe healthcare is more than diagnosing and treating illness—it’s about caring for people, building trust, and strengthening our community. Every patient who walks through our doors has a story, and many face complex challenges. We are here to meet them with compassion, respect, and high-quality care.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician who is committed to serving the underserved and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

About the Role

As a physician at WVHC, you will do more than provide medical care—you will be a trusted partner in your patients’ health journeys. You’ll deliver comprehensive primary care, support preventive health efforts, and help create a welcoming, patient-centered environment where individuals feel heard and valued.

Your clinical expertise, empathy, and leadership will have a direct and lasting impact on the health and well-being of our community.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions

  • Conduct physical exams and coordinate necessary diagnostic testing

  • Educate patients on preventive care, treatment plans, and healthier lifestyles

  • Serve as a primary care physician and advocate, building meaningful, trusting relationships with patients

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, high-quality care

  • Support Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives focused on improving outcomes and access

  • Mentor and support clinical staff and medical students

  • Participate in on-call coverage in collaboration with partner physicians

  • Uphold WVHC’s commitment to quality, safety, and equity in care

 Why Join WVHC?

  • Be part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to serving underserved populations

  • Make a real difference in patients’ lives every single day

  • Work with a supportive, collaborative care team that values respect and compassion

  • Help build stronger, healthier communities through accessible care

  • Grow professionally in an environment that prioritizes purpose and connection

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is not only clinically skilled, but who truly cares—someone who understands that listening, empathy, and trust are just as important as diagnosis and treatment.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution

  • Active Indiana medical license

  • Board Certified and participating in Maintenance of Certification (MOC)

  • Eligible for credentialing with affiliated hospitals

  • Current CPR certification

Work Environment

  • Clinic-based, team-oriented setting focused on community health

  • Opportunity to serve diverse patient populations with varying needs

  • A meaningful environment where your work truly matters

If you’re ready to bring your skills, heart, and purpose to a place where you can make a lasting impact, we would love to hear from you.
